Oh boy, where do I even begin...

From the very first Khadvent I have been entertaining an idea of making a minimal 'game' to go with it. A little atmospheric house to walk around in and look for passwords for games.

Needless to say that I never had time or energy to do it. Until now...? Maybe?

This year I decided that I'm going to do it, but scale it down a bit, to a little text 'adventure'. Which is all fine...

...except, of course, in my infinite wisdom I decided to do it two weeks before December. While lacking time. And being stressed with other, unrelated issues.

In those two weeks I had to plan it, write it, make an approximation of an engine (you'd think I'd use a premade one!), somehow make all the assets and test it.

And everyone, of course, knows how scale of these things tends to grow with stray ideas over time. And don't even make start on how fundamentally bad of an idea it is to make this heavy reading game for the stream!

In the end, a lot of things fell by the wayside. Not least of these being narration and art. I originally planned to make it at least a little more stream-bearable by recording TTS narration for every location. But for some reason I ended up writing a lot of subtle variations for different states of the world that realistically nobody is ever going to notice, and ran out of time. So the only narration at the moment is the intro that has audio that was meant to be a placeholder. My sincere apologies.

I have no clue how well this is even going to go down. And it's not unrealistic of an expectation that trying to keep the tracks built ahead of the train is going to kill me.

May Jazz have mercy on our souls. Expect a lot of bugs...
